The BMUSE database includes bibliographic references about museum practice, drawn from sources such as the UNESCO-ICOM Museum Information Centre, the Library of the Canadian Conservation Institute, and the Library of the Direction des Musées de France. Referenced material includes over 25,000 journals, journal articles, books, and reports published from 1900 to the present. The database will be expanded to include material from other international repositories of museological literature. Data are mainly in English and French, but subject key word fields contain data in both languages.
Conservation Information Network (BCIN) is one of three conservation databases first released in 1987. Two of the databases, MCIN and ACIN, are no longer current, and have been removed from this site. CIN's objective is to facilitate the retrieval and exchange of information concerning conservation and restoration of cultural property.
BCIN’s contributing partners have brought together over 172,000 bibliographic records on conservation. A great deal of conservation literature is referenced, including the Art and Archaeology Technical Abstracts, technical reports, conference proceedings, journal articles, books and audiovisual and unpublished materials. The database also includes previously unavailable material from private sources, as well as new information gathered by a worldwide network of contributors. Contributors include Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI), Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE) (formerly CAL), Getty Conservation Institute (GCI and AATA), International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and the Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), International Council of Museums (ICOM) and International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).
CoOL, a project of the Preservation Department of Stanford University Libraries, is a full text library of conservation information, covering a wide spectrum of topics of interest to those involved with the conservation of library, archives and museum materials.

The purpose of this page, [edited by Klaus Graf,] part of the Virtual Library Museums in Germany, is to link institutional and private internet offers referring to the protection of cultural heritage (or cultural property) and to the law (or legal issues) concerning museums, archives and libraries. The common task of these institutions is to preserve, to cultivate and to make accessible cultural assets. The offices responsible for the preservation of monuments as well as foundations, associations and private initiatives are committed to the same aim. The following list of German and international resources in the World Wide Web has the aim to demonstrate how the different institutions interact. - [Introduction]
This site has a section listing 162 collections of archives in museums. A form is provided for adding new links. - [Accessed 2002-12-19].
